Known to locals as “the Snug,” we’re an Irish-style pub and grill on City Island Ave in the Bronx. A snug is the small, cozy corner of a traditional pub where you settle in with good company, and that’s the feeling we want every guest to have the moment they walk through our green door.
Pull up a stool at the bar for a perfectly poured Guinness or a drink from our full bar, or take a seat and enjoy American pub favorites from our grill. Neighbors, regulars and City Island day trippers all share the same room, and everyone is welcome.

Today was our first time visiting City Island for a family event. We decided to get to the island early and were in desperate need of a snack. We stumbled across The Snug and were super satisfied. The Snug is so adorable with nice quick items on the food menu, and serving one of the best Mimosa I've ever had. The bartender was so awesome! She made us feel like we're were at home and gave us some great insight about City island and what is going on. I definitely recommend this awesome local stop when exploring City Island!
